Yesterday, you reflected on what you want and the legacy you wish to leave behind. Today, we’ll take it further by exploring how you want to contribute to the world and where you need to grow to become the person you envision.
How Do I Want to Contribute?
A meaningful life isn’t just about what you receive—it’s about what you give. Again today, we invite the Inner Critic or Judge to let us create. We promise you can give your 2 cents later!
Take a deep breath or 2, and consider these questions with eyes closed. Don’t be afraid to think big, audacious and inspiring.
Reflective Questions:
How do I want to contribute to the world?
Think about your family, community, society, or future generations.
What unique gifts or talents do I have to offer?
How can I make a difference in small or large ways?
How can my values guide my acts of contribution?
Activity:
Write down 3-5 ways you want to give back or make an impact.
Reflect on how these contributions would align with your values and bring you fulfillment.
Where Do I Need to Grow?
None of us starts out the person we want to be. And even now there is always space to learn and grow. To live the life you’ve envisioned, what growth is necessary?
Reflective Questions:
What habits or mindsets do I need to let go of?
What new habits or mindsets would support my growth?
What skills, knowledge, or tools would help me on my journey?
Who can support or mentor me as I grow?
How can I build resilience for challenges along the way?
Activity:
Create a list of areas where you want to grow, breaking it into categories like:
Mindset: Letting go of self-doubt, embracing abundance.
Habits: Creating routines that align with your values.
Resources: Books, courses, or tools you’ll need.
Skills: Communication, leadership, creative abilities.
Putting It All Together
Now, combine your reflections from these two days. The answers to What do I want?, What’s my legacy?, How do I want to contribute?, and Where do I need to grow? should start revealing your “big rocks.”
Activity:
List your “big rocks”—the non-negotiables that belong in your jar of life.
Keep this list close; it will help guide your focus when we shift to planning your 2025.
Affirmation for Today:"I am committed to becoming the person I aspire to be, living a life of growth, purpose, and meaningful contribution."
Take time with these reflections. Tomorrow, we’ll focus on clearing out what no longer serves you, creating space in your jar for the big rocks that truly matter.
